Where to start, where to start...It all started this past Friday. I had a great morning. I was at Hannah's school helping with her class from 9:30 - 11:00. From there I got Kailyn and picked up lunch, then we headed to visit gram & gramp. Little did I know that the milk I picked up for K was spoiled. Not expired but spoiled!! She started vomiting shortly after finishing 4oz of the milk. OMG this poor child. Had to strip her down to her diaper and wash her clothes...While trying to recover from the spoiled milk I got a phone call from the school nurse that Hannah had been sick and needed to be picked up from school! Okay I thought, "I can do this." By this time we had the usual lunch crowd at grams. So I left Kailyn in good hands with Mom, Aunt Barb, gram and Uncle Mike!! Got Hannah, went back to pick up K and headed home...poor Hannah continued vomiting the rest of the afternoon, into the evening and into the next morning!! Now it's Saturday. We headed to the Dr's bright & early in the morning. The Dr wanted to give Hannah till noon to stop vomiting. If not we would need to head to Children's Hospital. Needless to say, the vomiting didn't stop. Got to CHOB ER by 1:30ish. Mom Keicher stayed with K while my parents met us at the hospital. After several hours, an IV, urinalisys & stomach x-ray later determined it was constipation. Hannah had a large bowl movement to pass. We were sent home with a script for Miralex. She did good that evening and was asleep by 9pm. Then Sunday about 1:30 Hannah was sick at Target! And the vomiting started all over again. Since Friday she really had little to eat or drink. After another call to the Dr's they felt that her bowl hadn't completely emptied out and that was the reason for the sickness, again. Sunday we were suppose to have dinner at our house for my mom-in-law's B-Day. We decided to do just cake & ice cream. (well all of us except Hannah) I tried making her a little pastina around 6:30 and by 8:30 that came back up. Everyone left and we were just praying for a good night sleep. Monday was much calmer. Hannah was well into many hours of not being sick and I was in touch with the Dr's every 2 hours with updates. I called with an update at 3:30 happy to report that there had been no vomiting for 7 hours!!! YEA. Then I hung up the phone and headed into the family room to find Bri holding the bucket for Hannah. Soooooooooooooooooo Back to the Dr's office we headed. The Dr decided it would be best to have another x-ray of the stomach done to see if this was still a constipation issue or if we needed to look a little further. The x-ray revealed nothing major and the Dr would be back in touch with us first thing in the AM. By bedtime, Hannah's last bout of sickness hadn't happened since 5:30pm. Again, progress...Now we are 1 hour away from the start of another day and Brian and I share with each other that we do not feel very good. I just wanted to close my eyes, get a good night sleep and have everyone feel better in the morning. Unfortunately that was not the case!! Bri and I woke to find ourselves sicker than dogs. Bri had a fever, chills and aches. I could not get off the toilet...OH NO...To our surprise Hannah was feeling better and no vomiting!! The only problem K ever had was a little watery bowel. So when Hannah's Dr called in the morning I had to share with her how we were feeling. She seems to think in addition to the constipation Hannah was fighting the flu bug! We are going to keep Hannah on the Miralex and keep a watchful eye on her stomach. If needed, the next step is GI testing. (hopefully not) As for the rest of us, Bri is back to work, I think I need one more day to recover (still not feeling well). Hannah is excited to start eating again. She has already asked for pizza, green pepper and watermelon. Little does she know she will be waiting a bit for those things:) Oh and one more thing. I would like to send well wishes to my mother-in-law and father-in-law and Chris and Liz. This bug seems to have spread like wildfire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
