One day at a time

I thought this would be a great way to update everyone on Gramps. For those of you who don't know, Gramp hit yet another bump in the road this week. On Wednesday the Dr's had to remove his left leg, just below the knee. Unfortunately, the bye-pass surgery done the week before on the leg didn't improve his circulation in the foot and the toes. So with no other option, part of the leg had to go. He did great thru surgery. Right now I guess we can say that for an 86 yr old man who just had part of his leg removed, he is doing ok. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I pray that each day gets better & better. I pray for the strength he needs to heal. This has all been so very stressful on the whole family. We are a strong family, and will continue this journey with Gramps one day at a time. I will continue to keep you posted on his progress:)

Good Bye & Good Luck

I'm sure today looked more like Moving Day for Chris and Liz then anything else. It seems like yesterday that we were eating dinner at their house when we found out the exciting news. A Baby, they were going to have a baby!! I was going to be an aunt!! A real one:) So many ups & downs have happened since that time. I can just imagine the roller coaster of emotions you are feeling right now. We are all very excited about the arrival of Baby Keicher in just a few short days. (June 1st) I want to wish you a safe trip to Philly & back and a safe delivery & recovery for both mom & Baby!! I wish I could be there on June 1st to welcome the newest addition to the Keicher family. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with the three of you.

Memorial Day

We had a great last day of the Memorial Weekend. We have been blessed with, yet again, another beautiful day. After lunch on the patio, we decided to take the girls to Glenn Falls. I have so many beautiful pics that it was hard to decide what to post:)
The girls and I posed for a picture in front of the falls in out red, white and blue.

Next was daddy's turn with the girls!!!

To our surprise we made it just in time to catch the afternoon parade down Main Street! How appropriate:) After visiting the playground we had to make a pit stop at Jimmies for some ice cream! Kailyn loves ice cream. Okay, who doesn't?? Once home it was time for K's afternoon nap. Bri and I had some time to rest before heading out again. After K woke from her nap, we were off to Chris & Liz's. They will be leaving on Wed. am for Philly. The next time we see them, the baby will be here. So we had to say our good by's. Bri & I will be watching the house & cats for a few days so we needed to be updated on what to do:)
Thank you Aunt Liz for making Hannah's toes so beautiful!! She was so proud of the pedicure, she wanted me to take a picture to post on the blog:) Hope everyone enjoyed the Memorial weekend & was able to take some time to reflect on what the day is really about.

Sunny Sunday

What another beautiful day. It is almost like we were on vacation again...After heading to church this morning we decided to go to Pizza Hut for lunch. (One of Hannah's favorite) Then off to the nursery to pick out some veggies for our garden. We decided on peas, green peppers, tomatoes, eggplant & zuccini...And in no time the garden was planted. (Thanks Bri & Hannah too)

After our busy afternoon we made it to mom & dad's just in time for dessert!! YUMMY. Mom sure does know how to bake. Brownies, rice crispie treats, strawberry pie and ice cream cake. I'm sure I missed something.

I had fun watching Kailyn and Kariah. They are 7 months apart. Kariah is older and Kailyn weighs more then her. (lol) Karen found that out while trying to hold both the girls today:) Good exercise!!

Next it was time to work off some dessert.
Hannah, Derek & Dad decided to get a game of ball in. Hannah can really hit the ball!!

Last but not least, Hannah and Kailyn pose for a picture in their red, white & blue. Are they cute or what??

It's Saturday!!

It was a beautiful start to the weekend. The weather was great! Couldn't have asked for nicer. I have to admitt, it was very warm in the house and we gave in and put the AC on!!

Hannah and Kailyn enjoyed riding around on the patio. K did great keeping up with her big sister. They were fun to watch.

I surprised Hannah by planning a play date with her twin friends Caleb & Kaylee. They met in pre-school. Even though they don't go to the same school, we try to get together once a month. They play great together and today picked up right where they left off. Thanks for a great afternoon guys!!

After 13 months we finally did it. We filled the bottom of the play set with sand. (8 - 50 lb bags)Hannah has only asked us about 147 times. (just kidding) Now we have to teach K that we DO NOT eat the sand, we just play in it! She is learning, and she is having fun:)

Okay, you know it's been a busy day when even the dog has to stop & take a rest. It was a fun day and I think we will all sleep well tonight:)

Welcome New Neighbors

Today we finally got to meet our new neighbors!! A mamma bird decided to choose our gutter to make her nest. Hannah has been keeping a watchful eye on the happenings. So excited that today we were finally able to see the babies and sneak a picture!! Mamma is never far behind. We watched her, most of the day, keep busy feeding her babies. It's lunchtime!!!!!

A kick-off to the weekend

What better way to start the weekend then with SPARKLERS!!!
Oh Boy - Oh Boy!!!

Unfortunately, Kailyn couldn't stay awake for the fun. So here is a picture of her from earlier today. She was having a blast in her pack N play. She was shaking it so hard that she was moving it accross the kitchen floor:) What a gal!!

Countdown to the weekend

2 days and counting!! We have a fun weekend planned. As I approach one of the busiest times of the year for the "dance" season, we realized it will be a few weeks until we are able to have "family time" again. Soooooo, we are planning a family weekend. Just the 4 of us. The house and yard will get some much needed attention and we have a few surprises planned for the girls!! The weather looks like it will cooperate. (thank you) I will keep everyone posted on our weekend:) Hope you have a great Memorial Weekend!!

TGIF

Well, it is finally Friday. What another hectic week!! Bri was anxious to get home today and start up the tiller. We decided to bring back the garden this year. It has been a few years since we had planted one. We are hoping to grow some tomatoes & green peppers for sure. The rest of the garden is still up in the air.

Who said our Corgi's can't jump. Here is living proof!! Go Rusty Go.

Rusty got the biggest kick out of jumping at the bubbles that Hannah was blowing in the back-yard:)

And last but not least, we would like to wish a Happy 10th Birthday to our Jazzy Girl!!
Happy Birthday Jazz!!!

A Happy Day

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day. Mine was great!! Thanks Brian, Hannah and K for a great breakfast at IHOP. It was our 1st time there and we are already looking forward to the next. Hannah made some "special" gifts for me at school including a card with a picture of me on the front and a plant which she started on her own. It came in a cute pink bag that had this saying on it, My love for you continues to grow. They were the greatest gifts!! After breakfast we headed to visit my gram. Along with gram we also got to spend some time with gramp, my parents and U. Mike & A. Barb!!

I have been thinking lately and realized that we do not have an updated generation picture. What better day then Mother's Day to take one? So, here it is. Our latest 4 generation photo!!

Our day finished up with dinner at our house with my parents and Bri's parents. We did our cookout and despite the cooler weather, all went well! Spending the day with loved ones was another of my favorite gifts! I hope all you "moms" had a wonderful day too:)

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day everyone!! This is what it is all about:) I'm very excited about today. Bri and the girls are taking me for breakfast this morning before church:) After a visit to see my gram, and gramp too, we will head home. We invited my parents and Bri's parents over for a BBQ. By the sounds of things the weather will not be cooperating for the BBQ. So we will be grilling outside and eating inside. Never-the-less, we will have an enjoyable day. Here is wishing all of you "moms" some R & R for the day.
