Friday Night Flights

What to do??
What to do??
Something different,
Something new.
We headed to the airport
to watch the airplanes
take flight.

We found a great spot.

How do they do that?
Pilot to Co~Pilot

Taking off into the sunset.

Up, Up and away!!

The planes came so close,
I thought we could touch them.

It was quite an exciting night.
Good Bye airplanes,
see you next time.

Fun at the Lawn Fete

One of the many great things about where we live
is the fact that every year at this time
we have the OLBS Lawn Fete practically in our back yard!
So Friday evening we headed to the festivities.
We were joined by Nana Bernie & Papa Larry
~and~
Nana Kathi & Papa Tom!!
Will you look at these faces!!
Who do you think was having more fun?

Sunday we headed back for more fun.
This time we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon
with Chris, Liz & Emily!!

A fun ride on the train!!
~Choo Choo~

Picking ducks in the duck pond.
Both Emily and Kailyn picked the #10!!

Uncle Chris helping Hannah play
a game to win Silly Bandz!

AND
ice cream!!

YUMMY
ice cream!!

I will be honest with you when I say that it
has taken me 7 years to learn
how not to have a heart attack
when watching your child on rides!
Great smiles is what it's all about!
Hi Beautiful Emily!

Along with watching the hair fly in the wind.

Uncle Chris showing Hannah how to win a fish.
Or is Hannah showing Uncle Chris how it's done?
I can still hear the laughter & the giggles!!

After a long afternoon it's time to head home
for a nap.
All this fun is so tiring!
~~~~~~~
Hope you had a fun weekend too!!
Wild Weather
It was quite an interesting day.
Rain, on & off.
Very humid...
...and this incredible cloud formation
right above our heads.
I was so excited about these pictures,
that I e-mailed 2 of them to Ch 2 and they posted
both of them on their website, www.wgrz.com
(Go to weather photos.
Mine are dated 7/24/10 and titled Clouds over Cheektowaga)
~and~
they used one of them in their 6pm broadcast!
HEAT WAVE
One way to stay cool is to find a pool...
...and that is just what we did!
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!!
So far this has been the HOTTEST week of the summer...
...and we have enjoyed every minute.
By Thursday, the pool water was almost 90 degrees!
It was like swimming in a giant hot tub!!
READY...
SET...
SPLASH!!!
It's Friday
The 2nd part of our day was filled with
just as much fun as the 1st part!!
Hannah insisted that Kolby could do a split...
...Kolby thought otherwise:)
A water war with the sprinkler!!
And some big smiles on the rides
in town.
I'm glad they got all the spinning rides out of
the way before we ate!!
We treated Kolby to a new hat.
He had a hard time deciding between
the Sabres or the Bills...
Needless to say, the Sabres won!!
Kailyn LOVES trains...
...so this ride was tops on her list!
I'm surprised they had any energy left to bounce.
How awesome is it that these 2 "Big Kids"
made one "little kid" so happy
by ridinging with her!!
Can't forget the games & pizza,
fried dough & kettle corn too!!
~YUMMY~
I know 3 children & 2 adults that will
sleep great tonight!!
Niagara Falls
What a beautiful day and a great start to the
4th of July weekend.
I think these smiles say it all!!
Today was a day we have been waiting for.
Kolby's visit with us!!
Brian took the day off and we headed to Niagara Falls.
It was a picture perfect day!!
Would you believe it??
Our legs, mine especially,
made it all the way to the horse~shoe
side of the falls!!
What a breath~taking view!!
Well, almost all of us smiled for the camera.
~Me & Kolby~
~Daddy & Kailyn~
~Another Great View~
Once we completed our journey
we made a stop at
Hard Rock Cafe
for lunch!!
