Memorial Day Parade

The Parade is coming...The Parade is coming!!
We woke up bright & early,
or at least everyone but Kailyn did.
(She needed a bit of help form her sister.)
Rush, rush, rush...we have to hurry if we are
going to make the 10am parade...
Rush, rush, rush and we get there with time to spare.
Over a whole 1/2 hour to be exact.
The parade didn't start till 10:30am.
I guess that's better then finding out we missed it.
The girls were sporting their red white & blue...

...and star sunglasses.

It was another beautiful day.
I'm sure the temp was well into the 70's
at this early hour.

Here come the firetrucks.
I love this picture.
It looks like the never ending line of them.

Happy Memorial Day!

Spectacular Sunday

Sunday was yet another BEAUTIFUL Day!
I decided to let the family sleep in...
...I woke up early and picked my dad up for 8:30 mass.
It was a beautiful mass and a
wonderful start to the day.
The afternoon was spent at Chris & Liz's...

...to celebrate Emily's 1st Birthday.

Look at Emily's cute pool!!

Emily surprised us by showing everyone how she pulls
herself to stand and look out of the window.
Look at the proud smile on Uncle Bri's face!
Great Job Emily!!

Here I am with the Birthday Girl.

iDance

Dance Spectrum
presents What have I been up to lately, you ask??
Well, besides Christmas,
one of the busiest times of the year is quickly approaching.
It's almost show time!!
~and~
I get to share this crazy, busy and overwhelming
time of the year with some very special people...
...My second family, The Dance Spectrum.
When I was young I would dream of someday being a dance teacher.
In a way, my dream did come true.
Although I don't teach dance I am still able to
be part of the incredible world of dance!
And I love it!!
It is amazing, all that is involved "behind the scenes".
All of the dancers, young & old.
The choreographers. The volunteers. The costumes.
The time. The dedication to dance.
The music...and the editing of the
music to make sure every song is G rated.
The late, late nights.
The excitement, frustration and aggravation.
It's what I call "organized chaos"
Put that all together and you have iDance.
This has been quite a year of change.
Change is good!!
I'm so proud of the many accomplishments of the studio
and it's amazing, wonderful talented students.
Our dancers will be performing Memorial Weekend at Fantasy Island!
They have already performed at The Buffalo Museum of Science and at
the halftime show for the Harlem Globetrotters.
Don't forget to look for them at the Erie County Fair, too.
Recently we did a collection called "Got Tights?".
We collected about 300 pairs of tights
for the International Fiber Recycling Movement
whose goal is to help with cleanup efforts in the Gulf Oil Spill.
~Also~
This month Dance Spectrum held it's first ever
dance workshop for people with special needs!!
It was a success and we look forward to future classes.
It is an honor to be part of this wonderful family!!
Don't miss out on this years show.
iDance
will be held at
Shea's Performing Arts Center
June 12th & 13th.
Hope to see you there!!!
PS~ This just in...
Hannah Marie Keicher has decided to come back to
the wonderful world of dance!!
I am so proud of her.
You can look for her in next years show!!!

Gotta Wear Shades

"Things are going great and they're only gettin better".
Kailyn's future's so bright, she's
Gotta Wear Shades.
The funny thing is that she was so excited by this surprise gift,
she didn't let us take them out of the wrapper...
or remove the matching bows that came along with!!
Kailyn Rose you silly girl!!

I was lucky enough to spend Mother's Day with some of
the GREATEST "MOM'S" in the world.
Brian & I invited the family over for Mother's Day Brunch.
Here are some pictures of the moms we honored
on this special day.
This is where it all started.

Dominic's Championship win...
the proud "mom-to-be"!!

I'd like to share with you a quote my sister-in-law, Liz, posted on her blog...

"While you don't get a paycheck for being a mom,
and much of your work may go unnoticed,
you have the most important role ever as a mom.
Your reward come each time your child smiles at you,
snuggles with you, cries to you, puts their arms around their neck,
holds your hand, waives good bye, leans on you for support,
calls you to chat, asks you for advise, sends you a card, comes to visit,
and thinks of you when you never even realize it."

It was an honor to spend Mother's Day with these wonderful moms!!
