This is It

Anyone who has been around our house lately knows it's been hard keeping Kailyn away from watching Michael Jackson's "This is It".
She has watched it over & over & over & over again.
I can easily say that she is addicted!!
It is perfect because it has bought us some time.
Time to tidy up around the house,
get a load of wash done,
cook a meal & vacuum
without wondering what she is up to.
Kailyn has learned so much from MJ & his dancers.
she has learned to march...
...she has learned the sign for stop...
and she thinks there is absolutly nothing scarey about Thriller.
Who knows...maybe she'll be my dancer!?!?
All I know is that we have a blast watching her.

Ready for Spring

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
In addition to getting ready for today, we have been busy
getting ready for Spring & Easter.
We've made grass caterpillars.

Put up our Easter decorations
and
planted our grass...

and hung our eggs on the tree outside.
We are enjoying this 50 & 60 degree weather!
I hope we have seen the last of the snow.
Keep your fingers crossed!
Are you Ready for Spring?

What Is True Beauty?

The true beauty of a woman
is not the clothes she wears,
the figure she has
or
the way she styles her hair.
It's in the way she sees herself.
All women have the capacity to be beautiful.
Feel serene and peaceful about the woman you are
and be proud of your strength,
your gentleness, your caring
and your passion.
Know that you are a beautiful woman...
and the whole world will see it, too.

AM vs PM

~AM~
Wednesday morning Kailyn was up before Hannah. Seeing this never happens, we ran into Hannah's room to wake her for school.
Don't you wish you could wake up this happy & ready for your day EVERY morning??
If you do, please share your secret.
~PM~
Can you tell me what is different about Hannah in this picture??
You guessed it.
She lost a tooth!

Hannah lost her tooth in school!!
She called me at work shortly after getting off the bus!!
I was a bit sad that I couldn't see her right away.
I was also jealous that our sitter, Nicole, was the first one to find out about the tooth,
when she got Hannah off the bus.
Then I had to wait till I got home from work at 9:30pm.
This would be after daddy, Kailyn, Nani's & Papa's saw her.
My little girl is growing up right in front of my eyes!!
Sometimes I wish we had a pause button.
Then again, it would be taken away from me for overuse:)
In her excitement for the tooth fairy, she left a note saying:
To: tooth fairy
Love: Hannah
This time it didn't get wiggled out.
See, her first 2 teeth needed some help from Dr. Mike.
They had to be wiggled (pulled) out.
She was so proud this happened on it's own.

SUNSHINE

YEA!!! I'm loving these sunny days!!
Did I hear correct??
50's later in the week.
Bring it on...I'm ready:)
So I had a change of music for the blog today.
Heard a song from the past.
Right away I thought...
train, picnic table & corn.
To many of you that means absolutely nothing.
However, someone I know is reading this & smiling.
Ahhhhh...a memory of a great time!!

Increase Your Self Respect

A while back a friend of mine signed me up to receive Daily Meditation E-mails. I have enjoyed reading them and from time to time I'm going to share them.
Here is my Daily Meditation for today:
"Assertiveness is a Matter of Self-Respect"
When you trust your assertiveness, you have the ability to communicate your feelings, wants & needs. You are less dependent on others and more in control of your own life.
When you assert yourself you make your own choices. You make room for your confidence to explode. Practice confidence assertion by saying "YES" to the things you want to do and "NO" to the things you don't.
Don't be afraid or feel guily for asserting yourself. You have nothing to loose. You will only become stronger and more self-sufficient and in turn your self respect and self-worth will shine!
