A Visit from Kolby

I was a little nervous when I got out of the shower this morning and heard thunder. Brian and I had a fun day planned with Kolby and the girls. I didn't want rain ruining our plans. As we headed downtown to the marina, I was thankful it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. We took a nice walk along the water then ended up at the Hatch for ice cream.
On our way back from the marina, Bri drove past what was left of Memorial Auditorium. We couldn't help but snap a quick picture. So many memories of attending concerts, sporting events and even the circus at the Aud. It will be sad seeing it gone.
After a stop back home, we headed to West Seneca. There was a lawn fete in town. We got a bite to eat and the kids got tatoos. Kolby a shark and Hannah a unicorn. I'm glad the weather continued to cooperate thru the afternoon into the early evening.
Kailyn had a blast. She shared some french fries with us, and enjoyed watching all the rides.
The rides. We can't forget the rides. Hannah and Kolby went on the slide, the ferris wheel (2x's) and the whip. It was a fun day for all of us and it was great spending time with Kolby. Thanks for making our day so special!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday

Day 2 of summer vacation is underway:) Even though it was a bit rainy today, we did manage to take a dip in the pool at my mom & dads. After dinner, we got the wagon out and took the girls for a ride. K loved it. She was very well behaved on her first wagon ride. Tomorrow we are looking forward to a fun day with Kolby. He is in town, from Florida, and will be spending the day with us!! Have a good one:)

The Last Day of School

It's finally here!! The last day of school. It's a half day so Hannah will be home before noon. She was so excited. I think that this morning was just as exciting as the first day of school. Hannah had made a card for Miss Serafini. She was so proud of it. She wrote everything on her own. She didn't do too bad. (She spells everything as it sounds)

Kailyn went with us for one final trip to the bus stop. As you can see, she loves going to the bus stop. Hopefully she still loves it when she goes to kindergarden.
Well everyone, here's to a fun & safe summer. I just hope I have enough ideas planned, along with fun things to do to keep the girls happy & busy all summer long:)

Happy Father's Day Daddy

We are very thankful to have one of the "Greatest Dads" right here in our home! Our daddy helps to take care of us and makes sure we ALWAYS have what we need. Sometimes we might need to go to the playground, we may need to play out back, or need help with homework or even need to take a trip for ice cream. Yup he is always there for us. Sometimes he takes us to the gym when he goes to work out. He is also a great cook !! He even loves to vacuum. He helps mommy keep the house looking nice & clean. Daddy, we want you to know how much you are loved and appreciated! Thank you for all that you do. Thanks for being our daddy:)

Kindergarden Play

The start of another beautiful day:) I can't believe that we are almost finished with the first year. I remember what a rough start "we" had. Now, we are pros! Hannah was very excited about the day. Tuesday we were invited to her kindergarden play!
She did a great job, considering last week she was having a hard time deciding if she should go on stage or not!!
She made us proud and they all did a great job:)

After the play she posed for a quick picture on stage...

...Then one final picture with the best kindergarden teacher ever, Miss Serafini. All in all the play was a huge success. When the play was over, we enjoyed some refreshments with everyone .

A Visit to See Grandpa

Finally!!! On Tuesday this past week, Grandpa was transfered from Sisters Hospital to Williamsville Manor. This is where he will have his PT. Hopefully he will build his strength so that he can come home.

The girls were so happy to see him after over 1 month!!! (I didn't bring them to the hospital at all during the time he was in. I wanted to give him some recovery time)

He was doing good today and very excited to see everyone. When we got there, my mom & dad went up to get him and tell him there was a surpise downstairs for him. A few minutes later, they wheeled him into a room where we were all waiting to see him. Kailyn walked right up to him. (That's another post) And he couldn't believe how much Hannah had grown!!

Here's wishing Grandpa a quick recovery!!!

He is very anxious to get home. Hopefully PT goes well and he can be home middle to end of the summer.

Hurry home Grandpa:)

Becker Farms Field Trip

The final field trip of the year was to Becker Farms. Brian and I arranged our schedules so that we could meet Hannah and the Kindergarden class at the farm. It was a fun morning and the kids did lots of things including getting a little time on the playground...
Feeding the animals...
Potting a plant to bring home...
And enjoy a fun wagon ride pulled by a tractor. We got to see some blueberries, the apple orchard and ride thru the forest...
Miss Serafini made tie-dyed shirts this week with the class. They all wore them today. That made it very easy to spot her students:)
