Where is the time going?

Well, here we are. Another week has passed. I'm not sure where the time is going. I've been feeling like I need to hit the pause button. Just for a few hours so that I can catch up a bit.
Yesterday was a busy, exciting day.
To start, I did receive the good report I was hoping for!! The MRI showed no new lesions and no active lesions! YEA...
...However, I'm in need of a minor tune up, as my neurologist puts it. I haven't been feeling up to par lately. So, to help with the weakness & fatigue, I will be receiving a 3 day steroid treatment. Hopefully, that is the boost I need to get back on track. I should be starting treatment within the next few days. A nurse will come to to the house to administer the steroids thru an iv each of the 3 days. I'll have a follow up apt in 3 months...
...As soon as I was done with my apt I checked my cell phone. I knew at the same time as my apt, Danielle was having a sonogram and hopefully baby would cooperate so we could find out what she is having. Well, baby cooperated. I had a text from Danielle asking me to call her. She was happy to announce that I'm going to have a Goddaughter!! Another YEA for the day!
~Congrats Danielle & Mike~
We enjoyed a fun afternoon at home before heading to dinner at Forestview on my way to work!
~~~~~~
Tomorrow night we are taking the girls to Disney on Ice. It'll be the first time Kailyn will be to the arena! I'm hoping the lights, sound & movement keep her attention through out the show!
I'll post pictures as soon as I can:)
The Eleventh Day!!!
It is the 11th of January. Seems like just yesterday I was making a list and checking it twice...We have been busy getting back into the swing of things... All the Christmas decorations are down, with the exception of the tree. I think I could leave it up year round, however, others in my house would beg to differ. I won't mention any names;) I'm still listening to Hannah tell me, every morning, that she doesn't want to go to school and that her 11 day break went by too fast...(Ahhhh thru the eyes of a 6 year old)...
I have to say I had a great start to 2010. As we approach the middle of the month we will be busy celebrating some birthdays. We will also be finding out the gender of our new little cousin that will be born later this year!! ~AND~ I will be looking forward to receiving "good news" on the yearly MRI I had done just after Christmas. My apt. is in 1 week=)
Hope you are all having a good start to the new year as well!!
Sledding into the New Year
What better way to start the New Year
then sledding on a snowy day?
Along with Danielle, Mike & Dominic, Mike & Janine,
it made for a great afternoon.
Hannah had a blast. Here is a picture of her zooming down the hill
with her daddy;)
Mike & Janine decided to take Kailyn for a ride up the hill.
K enjoyed catching snowflakes on her tongue.
Kailyn's turn with daddy down the hill.
She did great!!
A fun day for all!!
New Years Day 2010
It's polenta time!!
If you never had polenta before...you don't know what you are missing.
Here's what you need to do.
Step #1 - Find a stool for gram so that she can reach inside the pot;)
Step #2 - Slowly add the corn meal.
Whisking so that there are no lumps.
Once it thickens...
...Call the men to the stove!!
Stir & stir & stir
make sure you get to the bottom of the pot,
we wouldn't any to stick to the bottom.
Pour onto a board,
add sauce...
...and enjoy!!!
Happy New Year
Happy New Year
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
What a better way to ring in the new then with family. Our New Years Eve started with a steak dinner, with our parents at our house.
If only I had taken a picture of the beautiful table...Sorry
We enjoyed a fun evening playing the Wii,
eating some yummy snacks and sharing holiday cheer!
I was proud of the girls. Kailyn stayed up till almost 11pm. Hannah made it to ring in the New Year with us!! She was determined...and she did it.
Here's wishing you & yours a year of health & happiness, peace & prosperity!!
Cheers to 2010!!
