Charleston, WV

Happy to report, I have found a computer to download pictures to the blog!!
~~~~
One thing I have been wanting to share with you are some wonderful pictures from our overnight stop on our way home from vacation.
Hard to believe that it was over a month ago!!
The State Capital Building.
Charleston, West Virginia.
We decided to stop and visit
The University of Charleston
where Brian attended college for 3 years.
It was nice to take some time to walk around campus
and along the river bank.
Say cheese for the camera.
It really is a beautiful campus.
It is amazing how much has changed over the years.
18 years to be exact.
So happy we were able to take the girls and show them where daddy went to college.
Who knows...maybe someday one of them will follow in his footsteps!
Life's A Beach
This was the way we started every morning.
We would sit on the balcony outside our bedroom or
look out the bedroom window & wait to say
"Good Morning Mr Sun."
Here it comes
Ahhh
Yep, it is going to be a
beautiful day.
Good morning dolphins
Now for some fun at the beach
We could not have possibly asked
for better weather on our vacation!
Everyday was more beautiful then the last.
Beautiful blue skies!!
Our day at the beach wouldn't be complete
without a sand castle...
...in our case, a city.
~~~~
We are just finishing packing.
Tomorrow, we will begin our journey home.
It has been an incredible week!
We have all gotten in some much needed
R & R along with lots of family time!
It was fun having
Nana Kathi
&
Papa Tom
join us on our vacation.
~~~~
It will be sad leaving
what I call our
little bit of paradise.
Ripley's Aquarium
The day has finally come!!
Our visit to Ripley's Aquarium.
A few quick pictures outside the aquarium.
These fish were incredible!
The colors are beautiful and
each picture speaks for itself.
I don't think this fish was
particularly fond of Brian.
Hannah taking a quick
swim with the fish.
petting the stingrays
Here is a sample of the glass
that the aquariums are made of.
Notice the thickness!!
That thickness is what protects us from the sharks.
He swam right over our heads!!
Isn't it amazing that there is
actually a shark that looks like this??
Notice he is smiling at us.
This is where I'm thankful for the
thickness of that glass I showed you earlier.
Can you count how many teeth in this mouth?
a school of fish
more sharks
What a great day at the aquarium.
If you ever get to Myrtle Beach
this is a "must do" for your
"to do" list!!
Broadway at the Beach
We can't visit Broadway at the Beach
without stopping at Margaritaville!!We were lucky enough to catch
2 hurricane storms.
The girls got a kick out of them .
Here are mom & dad:)
The Marsh Walk
We enjoyed a wonderful evening at
The Marsh Walk.
The Marsh Walk is located in
Murrells Inlet, just a bit
south from where we are staying. We enjoyed dinner at Creek Ratz,
one of the many restaurants located on
the walk.
They have a fun "kids area"
where you can write on the chalk wall.
Kailyn & Hannah
had a fun time.
If you look at this picture closely, you can see
the moon and the reflection of the
moon in the water below.
We met a man on the walk who was making
roses out of palms from a palm tree.
He made one for Hannah.
The weather was perfect.
Warm and calm with not even
a slight breeze!!
The sunset was beautiful.
The colors of the sky were amazing.
What a great night!!
We did come across a crane.
He stopped for a second so I could snap
a quick shot.
~~~~
We have enjoyed the past few days.
The weather has been very kind to us,
allowing us much beach & pool time.
~~~~
Tomorrow we have plans to visit
Broadway at the Beach.
Looking forward to Ripley's Aquarium
along with lunch at
Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.
The girls will also be using their
Build A Bear
gift cards...
...pictures to follow:)
