Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We had a great day.
Spent the day with one of the things we are most thankful for
and that's FAMILY.
~~~~
We started the day, as we do every year,
watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
From there we went to visit Grandpa.
I love watching the smile on his face grow
when he looks at the girls.
Next stop, mom & dads.
Gram joined us for a beautiful dinner.
We all enjoyed every bit of FAMILY time.
After 1 or 2 desserts we were on our way to
Chris & Liz's.
At their house we had, you guessed it...
yummy desserts and once again,
more FAMILY time.
Hannah, Kailyn & Emily enjoyed playing
and entertaining the adults.
What a super special day.
~~~~
One thing I did not do this year was
go shopping the morning after Thanksgiving.
To tell you the truth...
I didn't miss it.
~~~~
Saturday brought another fun day.
This year we attended the M & T Bank
Children's Christmas Party.
It was at the Erie County Fairgrounds.
We had a wonderful time.
There was just a bit of snow on the ground
to help put us in the
Christmas Spirit.
There were so many fun things to do.
You could make your own sundae!!
~yummy~
Dance thru the bubbles to
Christmas music.
Take a train ride.
Decorate Christmas cookies...
...and eat them!
In addition to a visit with Santa's reindeer...
...we were able to get in some great picture
taking opportunities.
Kailyn enjoying the snow.
Hannah hanging out with Santa...
...and Santa.
Will you look at the smiles on these faces.
Did we have fun or what?
Can't forget to write our letter to Santa...
...and mail it too.
Next we got to enjoy a ride thru
the festival of lights.
Here is Kailyn's favorite display.
Choo Choo!!
The bills make me wanna
S C R E A M
I mean shout!!
Let's Go
Buffalo!!
It was the PERFECT start
to the holiday season.
~~~~
Hope you had an incredible
weekend too!!

Getting Ready

I remember when I was little
looking forward to the days after Thanksgiving
because that was when Santa arrived!
Over the years we would go to various places to watch for his arrival.
(The mall, Top's plaza & the local pharmacy)
~~~~
Now Christmas seems to be so rushed.
I was surprised to see some stores decorated just after Halloween this year.
It feels like they have skipped right over Thanksgiving and moved on to Christmas.
~~~~
Again, to my surprise I hear the announcement of the arrival of Santa
the weekend before Thanksgiving!!
Never-the-less, we decided to bring the girls to the mall and see Santa!
They were very excited and were able to sit with him and tell him
just what they want for Christmas.
~~~~
Unfortunatly, I have no pictures to share of the girls with Santa.
Once again, new rules are in place. These rules seem to be changng every year.
Yes you can take pictures with your own camera,
however, you need to pay $5 in order to do that.
~OR~
You can purchase one of there portrait packages starting at $20!
So, I enjoyed taking pictures of the girls after their visit with Santa.
Halloween Highlights
Some of our Halloween highlights included...
...Carving the pumpkin!
...Visiting with grandpa.
Here he is holding Madyson.
...a visit from Chris & Liz & Emily.
Here are the daddys with their girls.
~Too Cute~
...a princess & a cheerleader.
and last but not least...
Trick-or-Treating!!
We had a wonderful Halloween.
~~~~
This is the 3rd year in a row we took part in
Got Candy?
It is run by our dentist Dr Mike and his great faculty at
Winning Smiles Peadiatric Dentistry.
We picked out a bowl of candy to keep at home.
The rest went to Dr Mike who sends the candy to our troops over seas.
He pays $1 per pound of candy turned in.
In addition to the money the girls both received
new tooth brushes and 2 free passes to Bounce Magic!
