Having Fun

If I only knew how easy it would be to please my girls,
I could have saved a lot of $ this Christmas...
All it took was an empty laundry basket, a pillow from the couch and a summer hat,
to make for a morning of fun!!

Hold on tight!!!!

Thanks Kailyn for sharing your pretty hat with Hannah.
Hope your day is as much fun as ours.

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas from Hannah, Kailyn & Emily...
...Christmas Day was spent at Mom & Dad Keicher's. We enjoyed an afternoon with family & you guessed it, more presents!!

Kailyn is all set to head out golfing with daddy & Papa Tom.

OOOhhhh how pretty...A new comforter set!!

Papa kept Kailyn busy with the animal crackers from her stocking;)

Baby Emily's first Christmas!!!
After presents we enjoyed an afternoon with more family and a yummy dinner.
We are so lucky to be blessed with such wonderful families. It was a busy few days, however, it was all worth it. I think I had the most fun watching the kids. Their wide eyes and big smiles were priceless.
Let's not forget the reason for the season:
"Happy Birthday Jesus!!!"

Merry Christmas To All...
...& to all a good night!!!

Hannah bought daddy a pocket watch that says "Greatest Dad".
She is opening a sterling silver "Tink" necklace from us.

Christmas Eve

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!!
Our Christmas Eve started with 4 o'clock mass at Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
Then we headed to my mom & dads for our Christmas Eve Celebration.

Dinner was delicious with more then enough to choose from.
After dinner and yummy desserts, we moved on to opening presents!!

Keeping with a Christmas Eve tradition, we all looked for our stockings that are strategically placed on the Christmas Tree.
(Thank you Grandma & Grandpa)

Presents, presents & more presents.

Kailyn had the most fun playing in all the wrappings.

The Big Day is Almost Here!!!!

Well, there are 5 days left before Christmas!!! I guess I can say that I'm just about ready. I have a few things to pick up today and my shopping will be done. Gifts up to this point are wrapped. Just have to focus on baking a few more cookies, making chocolate pretzels and a few things for Christmas Eve & day.
I promise I'll post pictures soon...Sorry...
A quick update on our Breaking News from earlier in the week...Kailyn has successfully gone potty 2 x's now! How cool would that be if we could have her potty trained by the 1st of the year?? Is it possible?? Like with the bottle, I'm in no hurry to get rid of the diapers. I just want to hit the pause button and freeze these moments forever.
Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!
This happening right now,
Kailyn Rose just went pee pee
on the potty!!!
I was in the kitchen baking and she started knocking on the bathroom door. Soooo, I thought we'd see if she had to go. She sure did!!! Much to our surprise she went. This is the first time she tried and actually went...on her own. I think it's so funny, she was telling me she had to go =)
CONGRATULATIONS Kailyn!!!

SNOWDAY!!!

Oh the weather out side is frightful. But our view from inside is delightful. The top picture is an earlier view outside from our kitchen window this morning.
The bottom is a picture once the wind and snow started up again.
Wish I could keep the pretty snow around the window for the holiday.
Next is a view out the front window.
It's hard to see our neighbor's house just accross the street!
Here is the view from the garage:)
No we didn't get that much snow!!!
However the wind is hitting the back of the house so it is hard to see out the back door!!
If you are having a snowday today, enjoy & stay warm!!

A Visit with Santa!

It's the most wonderful time of the year... Time to visit Santa! Kailyn didn't do too bad. She wasn't particularly thrilled. She was a little scared. I'm just glad she didn't scream and cry. I think Hannah helped to keep K from crying.
Hannah is so funny. I always tell her to be ready with a smile. As you can see, she is doing just that.
Next, a few more pictures in the mall.
K wasn't interested in sitting for a picture with her sister. She just wants to go...go...go.
(Notice Hannah's smile, always ready for the picture)

I know, I know...just one more picture for mommy?
Please???

Thanksgiving Day

Here are just a few pics from our day. I have to apologize that I forgot my camera half way thru the day. So I don't have pictures of all the festivities:( I'm sorry.
Our first stop was to visit Grandpa. He is doing well & looking good. He wants to come home. (I'm sure I would too) I'm saying prayers daily that one day soon he is able to...
...After visiting my Gramp, we had Mom & Dad Keicher over for a lite lunch:)
Then we were off...
Next stop, mom & dads for dinner. A few quick pictures before we eat.
Someone is very excited in this picture. Guess who?
Always enjoying an opportunity to update the
4 generation picture!
Here is a "Great" Grandma with her "Great" Granddaughter's!

After our dinner we were able to head home and put Kailyn down for a little nap...
...Our next stop was Aunt Florence's. It was good seeing everyone even if for just a short time before we headed off to...
...Chris & Liz's for dessert. There were many yummy desserts to choose from. I enjoyed some apple pie and pumpkin cheese cake:) Unfortunately my niece, Emily, had gone down for the night just before we arrived:( We did get enjoy watching some recent videos of her. Can you believe she'll be 6 months old on Tuesday??

I think at the end of our busy day, I can speak for all of us when I say that we were all very happy to see our beds.
Hope your day was a special as ours!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my wonderful friends and family. Thinking of all the things I am truly thankful for, the easiest way to put it is: "I am thankful for God, for his love and for all that he has given me and blessed me with". I wish for you a day filled with family & love. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day Feast!

Family Swim

Congrats Hannah at completing level II of swimming. It was lots of fun to watch her jump into the deep end with no problem!! She is a fish. The last day of the program is "Family Swim". It's more or less an open swim for all. Brian joined Hannah in the pool. Here is a picture of our friend Ryan with Bri & Hannah.
A big thanks to Mom & Dad M. for watching Kailyn so that I didn't have to chase her around tonight:) Kailyn doesn't sit still for too long anymore.
Another big thanks to Mom & Dad K. for coming to watch Hannah and Bri in the pool;)

Pizza Night

Today I thought it would be nice to have pizza for dinner. Homemade pizza:)
So, when Hannah got home from school we were all ready to get started.First we had to roll the dough.
Then spread on some sauce.
Next we decided to keep one with just cheese. The other had peperoni on half and mushrooms. Yummy!!!!
A quick smile for the camera...Come & get it. Oh and I can't forget the dessert...
...Apple crisp:)

I'm a Big Kid Now!!

It's official. We are approaching day #6 without a bottle!! Out with the bottle...In with the cup & straw. For a few weeks now Kailyn was taking her bottle only at night before bedtime. She was probably ready to do without it then, however, I think I was the one having the harder time parting with it. My baby is no longer a baby:( She is doing great! Doesn't miss it one bit!!

More milk please??

What's next??? The potty???
